Traditional to contemporary, from someone who's done both.
I grew up on a church stage. My dad led the music, my mom played piano, and I was singing in front of a congregation by age five. That never left me.
For 25 years I served as a worship pastor in churches of every size, from small sanctuaries to congregations of thousands. I've led choirs and orchestras on Sunday morning and rock bands on Sunday night, and I love both.
Along the way I learned that worship leadership is mostly about people. It means helping a church grow without leaving anyone behind, building teams that last, and walking alongside pastors through growth, building projects and hard transitions.
Today I'm an ordained minister who writes and advises. I help pastors, search committees and worship leaders across denominations bring traditional and contemporary worship together, find and grow the right leaders, and build worship that is excellent, honest and unifying.
